SUNO success at national conference

Ms. Hutton (student) & Dr. Omojola (mentor) win at 10th HBCU conference in DC.

Ms. Hutton won in Mathematics at the National conference running against a nation-wide field with participants ranging from Howard University in the Northeast to Texas Southern University in the North. Other SUNO winners include Ms. Dorcas (student) & Dr. Kambhampati (mentor) competing successfully in Biology.

LAMP Scholarships

Louisiana Alliance for Minority Participation (LAMP) gives each semester stipends to students in the department of Natural Sciences.

Application process:

Students should apply in the first weeks of the semester. Application forms are with Ms. Polly Richter. 2 letters of recommendation, 1 mentor sheet, transcripts and an essay are needed.
