Welcome to Math400: Math Seminar;

In this course, we will work on a few topics, chosen and decided by instructor and students, which may come from  various branches of Mathematics.

In the Fall of 2011, Dr. Chen first give presentations on the following topics:

Combination numbers and applications;

The applications of derivatives;

Integral tricks;

ODE in Biology and Ecology;

Free software SAGE;

the other topics, we will decide together in class and students should give presentation in turn.

each student will give a about 20 minutes presentation near the end of the semester.

Grading policy:

midterm exam will be given in take-home form.

final exam will be presentation combined with take-home form.
